Who.

Founder, Creative Director & Visual Artist — No Water For Whales

I'm Juliana Gómez Ocampo — a Colombian-born image-maker, director, and cultural researcher based between Amsterdam and Milan. With a background in cultural and social psychology and over a decade of experience in photography and filmmaking, I work across editorial, design, art, and cultural research to craft concept-driven visual narratives.
No Water For Whales is my personal platform — a reflection of my interdisciplinary practice. It's where I direct and produce all creative projects, bringing together photography, film, editorial content, creative direction, and consultancy under one vision. Every collaboration, visual, and story that comes through this space is a direct expression of my perspective and creative process.
Beyond the frame, I work with institutions, brands, and cultural platforms to shape compelling narratives and develop strategies with meaningful, collaborative impact.
I'm also the co-founder and editor-in-chief of YUCA Magazine, an independent publication integrating art, photography, culture, and literature. In each issue we're inspired by an alibi that entices us to reflect upon cultural constructs and personal identities through visual and written content.
